Destination Stewardship & Sustainability Specialist

The Destination Stewardship & Sustainability Specialist plays a vital role in advancing Destination Greater Victoria’s commitment to responsible tourism and a thriving, sustainable visitor economy. Working closely with senior leadership and a wide network of members and partners, this role drives the research, development, delivery, and measurement of impactful sustainability and circular economy initiatives. The Specialist takes initiative to identify opportunities, turn insights into action, and keep programs moving forward with a high level of organization and attention to detail. From supporting certifications and reporting, to engaging members and telling the region’s sustainability story, this role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. It’s an ideal opportunity for a proactive, organized professional who is energized by collaboration, confident working independently, and motivated to help shape a more sustainable future for Greater Victoria’s tourism sector.

This position is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work in-office at least three times per week, requiring the successful candidate to be located in the Greater Victoria region. It is a full-time position, 35 hours per week. The salary is between $60,000-$65,000.
